Brand New Pulled
全新拆机Pulled from a decommissioned production server. Zero power-on hours, no wear, full rated capacity. The label reads new; the provenance is documented.
Refurbished
翻新整机Fully torn down, tested and reassembled. Wear components replaced, firmware updated, diagnostics passed.
Used — Grade A
二手 A 级Lightly used. Cosmetic wear only, fully functional and tested.
Used — Grade B
二手 B 级Moderately used. Visible wear outside, tested and working as specified.
Used — Grade C
二手 C 级Heavily used. Fully functional, cosmetic condition significantly worn.
For Parts
配件机Not functional. Sold for spare parts and repair stock.
Why the grade matters
Buying used enterprise hardware is not like buying a used laptop. The parts that fail are predictable: drive spindles, disk platters, fan bearings, capacitors. A drive that came out of a server with zero power-on hours has not had the opportunity to fail yet. That is the entire argument for buying pulled stock, and it is why we grade it separately rather than calling it "new".
What "Brand New Pulled" actually means
Our highest grade is not factory-sealed stock, and we never describe it as such. It means:
- The unit was pulled from a decommissioned production server or storage array
- It has never been powered as a sale unit — power-on hours read zero
- Reallocated sector count reads zero
- Capacity is at full rated specification; no degradation
- No cosmetic wear from handling
It reads as new. What makes it valuable is different: you know it came out of a real datacentre environment, you know it has not been sitting in a retailer's cupboard, and you have the serial history to prove where it came from.
If you need genuinely sealed, never-opened factory stock, tell us — it is rare and we do not usually hold it.
Disclosing the awkward facts
Two things we tell every buyer up front:
- Power-on hours are reported per unit, not per model. A lot graded Brand New Pulled reads zero on every unit in it. A used lot shows its real numbers, which vary.
- Failed units are removed, not discounted into the lot. A drive that fails our bench goes to spares or is scrapped. It never enters a tested lot at a lower price.

What we test before a unit is listed
Drives and SSDs
- Full SMART attribute read, retained with the unit
- Reallocated, pending and uncorrectable sector counts
- Power-on hours, power cycles, spin-up count
- Overall health percentage
- Write and read surface test on a sample of the capacity
- For SSDs: NAND wear percentage, total data units written, media errors
Servers and chassis
- Boot test with the target operating system where applicable
- CPU and memory population verified against the SKU
- Fan health and PSU redundancy confirmed
- RAID controller and backplane presence checked
- Cosmetic grade photographed
Network equipment
- Power-on and boot to a clean configuration
- Port count and optic compatibility confirmed
- Fan and thermal behaviour checked under load where units are in stock
The warranty that comes with it
Warranty is stated on every listing and honoured within its term without argument. What it covers, how long it lasts and what it excludes is set out on the warranty page.
